TDB0002: God Among Men

Philippians 2:
7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;8 And being in the condition of man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even death on a cross.

Commentary

I recently presented the gospel to two friends of another religion, Their  unbelief in Jesus was based on the fact that God could be a man (Jesus) or that God (father) could have a child. They contended that God is God and man is man, with which I agreed however the denial that God was incarnated in the person of Jesus is one of the main bases of Christianity, to deny this is to become Antichrist

1 John 4 : 2 In this know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confessed that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God; And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard coming, and which is now in the world.

This verse makes it clear that he who denies that the Messiah came in the flesh is being guided by the spirit of the Antichrist. Before human logic this is impossible and unimaginable, but the salvation of man needed nothing less than the sacrifice of God himself, so God entered into his own creation as a man and died for us.

By saying that God died for us can bring some discomfort among many who do not know who Jesus was. Jesus was God made man. He can not deny his humanity or his divinity

Philippians 2: 6 which, being in the form of God, did not esteem being equal to God as something to hold on to. The human being has no salvation outside of Jesus, he is the author and finisher of it, so it is both suspicious and terrible that any creed or doctrine that speaks of God denies God (Jesus).

To deny Jesus as the primary basis of our salvation seems rather a plot of the enemy. If these religions are intended to save man then the intriguing one arises: why deny the author of salvation, when the purpose of that religion is to save or bring man to God? the enemy Plan is to make millions be lost by misrepresenting Jesus’ true identity?

2 Peter 2: 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, and will even deny the Lord who rescued them, drawing upon themselves sudden destruction.

Every false religion denies Jesus one way or the other, or at least denies who he is. The enemy specializes in subtle lies, which can pass for “truths” to those who do not know the word of God.

Genesis 3: 1 But the serpent was cunning, more than all the beasts of the field which the Lord God had made; Who said to the woman, “Did God say to you, do you not eat of every tree of the garden?

First he begins by questioning the word or softening the lie (Jesus was a prophet) then goes by the jugular (Jesus was not a child of God). Of the three Abrahamic and most dominant religions Christianity alone recognizes Jesus as the Messiah prophesied by the prophets as the Son of God. The other religions deny this truth. What is the huge problem with this? The Bible says:

Romans 10: 9 that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

If we do not believe in Jesus, His death and resurrection we are still in our crimes and sins and no matter how “good” we are, we are not be saved. So the enemy has used his cunning to get the savior of the world out of the equation, He deceived  to Eve and is  deceiving many now.
